solar panels for breweries: UK commercial installation specialists

Brewery solar specialists, not generalists

We are a UK MCS-certified commercial solar company that focuses on breweries, brewpubs, distilleries and cideries. That focus is deliberate. A brewery is not a warehouse with tanks in it: it is a food business with a continuous refrigeration load, hazardous areas around CO2 and malt dust, process heat that solar cannot touch, and, very often, a historic or listed building. A generalist installer sizes to your roof and quotes you a payback. We size to your electrical load from your half-hourly meter data, we are honest that roughly 70% of your energy is thermal and out of solar's reach, and we design the array around the realities of a working brewery. That is the difference between a system that looks good on a spreadsheet and one that actually pays.

How we work

Every project starts with a free desk-based feasibility study built from 12 months of your half-hourly meter data and your roof drawings, not a rule of thumb. We are independent of any single panel or inverter manufacturer, so the specification is chosen for your site rather than for whoever we happen to buy from. The proposal is fixed price: the survey surfaces the grid connection, structural and roof-condition costs up front, so what you sign is what you pay. And if your roof, load profile or tenure do not suit solar, we will tell you, because a bad install helps nobody.

Accreditations that actually mean something

We are certified by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) for commercial installations, which is what makes your system eligible for the Smart Export Guarantee, and we are NICEIC-registered for the electrical work, RECC and TrustMark licensed for consumer protection, and members of Solar Energy UK. Our rooftop designs follow the RC62 fire-safety Joint Code of Practice that property insurers increasingly require, and our structural sign-off is by a qualified engineer under MCS MIS 3002, not a surveyor's signature. Every certification number appears on your quote so you can verify it.

The warranties behind the work

Tier-one panels carry a 25-year performance warranty, typically guaranteeing around 84% of rated output at year 25, and inverters are warranted for 5 to 12 years and replaced once during the system's life. On top of the manufacturer warranties, our workmanship is covered by a ten-year insurance-backed guarantee, so the cover survives even if a contractor does not. We also offer an annual operations-and-maintenance visit with remote monitoring, which is increasingly a condition of insurers accepting a rooftop array.

Why breweries trust a specialist

Because we speak your language and we do not oversell. We know the difference between a hot liquor tank and a cold liquor tank, why your glycol chillers are the load that makes solar pay, and why you cannot switch a fermentation off to let us work. We map the funding you can actually claim, the Annual Investment Allowance (solar is special-rate plant, so it does not qualify for full expensing, whatever others claim), the Brewing sector Climate Change Agreement, and the business-rates exemption, and we are straight about the numbers. In a sector losing around three breweries a week, an honest, specialist approach to cutting your biggest controllable cost is worth more than a glossy sales pitch.
